2 pounds chicken thighs and drumsticks
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 green bell pepper large, chopped
1 cup onions chopped
1/4 cup almonds toasted slivered
1/4 cup water
1 clove garlic minced
1 15 1/2-ounce can chili con carne with beans
2 teaspoons unsweetened baking chocolate grated
Dash cloves ground
Dash cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350° F. In a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat brown chicken in oil; remove chicken and set aside. Drain off fat from skillet.
Add green pepper, onion, almonds, water and garlic to skillet. Over medium heat bring to a boil; reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add chicken, chili, chocolate, cloves and cinnamon. Cover and bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until chicken is tender.
