Ingredients

2 pounds hamburger (or stew meat)
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 large onion, chopped
1 teaspoon cumin
2 large cans undrained chili beans
3/4 cup ketchup
3 (4-ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 packets chili seasoning
1/2 teaspoon red pepper or more to taste
2 cloves minced garlic
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon both of pepper & allspice
Garnish: sour cream, corn chips or flour tortillas, cheese, diced green onions

Directions:

Brown hamburger and onion in stock pot or 12 inch Dutch oven. Drain fat and add the rest of the ingredients.

Cover and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes to 1 hour. If you are using stew meat, cook meat until it is tender.

Stir occasionally and add more water if needed.
