Caramel Apple Squares

Ingredients

2 cups flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter
3 tablespoons oils
2 tablespoons cold water
1 egg
6 cups peeled and sliced apples
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons lemon juice
40 caramels
1 cup sugar
8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup , chopped peanut

Directions:

Combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in margarine and oil, blend egg and cold water until you have a thick dough. Pat into 9x13 pan. Mix apples, sugar, flour and lemon juice thoroughly and place in crust. Combine caramels with milk heat until melted. Pour over apples. Beat cream cheese, sugar and egg. Pour over caramel topping. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 325 for 55-65 minutes.
