Thai Beef Lettuce Wraps

12 ounces , leftover cooked beef (brisket, steak, etc.), thinly sliced
2 tablespoons hot sauce (like sriracha)
4 tablespoons fish sauce
juice of 1 lime, plus wedges as garnish
2 jalapeño peppers, , thinly sliced
1 red onion, thinly sliced
1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
2 carrots, grated
2 heads Bibb lettuce, leaves separated


1. COMBINE the hot sauce, fish sauce, and lime juice in a small saucepan over low heat until just steaming.
2. DRIZZLE half of the warm sauce over beef.
3. SET OUT the jalapeÒo and onion slices, cilantro, carrot, and lettuce, along with the lime wedges and sauce. Use the leaves like tortillas to wrap up the steak slices with the other ingredients.
