Girls’-Day-Out Granola

Ingredients

4 cups long-cooking oats, uncooked
1/2 cup toasted wheat germ
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/4 cup powdered milk
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
2 tablespoons sesame seed
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons oil
1 cup dried mixed fruit, chopped
1 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries

Directions:

Combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl; set aside. Combine honey and orange juice in a small saucepan over medium heat; cook for 4 minutes, or until warm. Whisk in vanilla and oil; pour over oat mixture and toss well. Spread mixture into a 15"x10" jelly-roll pan sprayed with non-stick vegetable spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes; stir. Bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until crisp. Cool in pan. Place mixture in a large bowl; stir in dried fruits.
