Deep Dish Apple Pie

6 cups peeled apples slices
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 Pie Crust recipe
2 tablespoons heavy cream


Combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in deep baking dish. Dot with butter. Top with pie crust rolled 1/8-inch thick. Brush crust with cream and bake in a hot oven (425°F) for 40 minutes.
