Coconut Pecan Frosting

1 cup sugar
1 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
1 cup , chopped pecans, or almonds
1 teaspoon vanilla extract


1. In medium saucepan, combine sugar, milk, margarine and eggs. Cook over medium heat until mixture begins to bubble, stirring constantly.

2. Stir in all remaining ingredients. Cool until of desired spreading consistency.
