Ingredients

1 cup crushed graham crackers
3 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 cup frozen margarita mix, thawed, divided
2 cups lime sherbet
2 cups vanilla ice cream, softened
1 fresh strawberries
1 whipped cream

Directions:

Mix cracker crumbs, sugar, and 1/4 cup margarita mix. Press against the bottom and an inch up the side of a 10-inch Dutch oven. Mix sherbet and 1/3 cup margarita mix together. Mix in softened ice cream and spread evenly. Follow directions for Frozen Desserts below.

Cut strawberries in half and put on top of dessert just before serving; top each piece with whipped cream. Make this after breakfast and bury it until after dinner for a great surprise.

Frozen Desserts:
You can make any frozen dessert in your Dutch oven easily — simply follow the recipe and make in the Dutch oven as you would at home in a regular dish. To freeze the dessert, dig a pit in the ground. Put a clean garbage bag in the hole and pour ice in the bottom of the bag and set your Dutch oven on top of the ice. Top with more ice and twist the bag closed and cover with dirt. Leave until you’re ready to eat! Don’t forget where you buried dessert; if necessary, mark you buried treasure! This doesn’t take a lot of ice; one bag should be plenty; just experiment with it and see what works best for you.
