Hot Crab Open Faces

7 1/2 ounces flaked crab meat, fresh or canned
1/4 cup mayonnaise
3 ounces cream cheese
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon finely chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/8 teaspoon salt
6 English muffins halves
1 hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, or avocado (optional)


Mix the crabmeat, mayonnaise, cream cheese, egg yolk, onion, mustard, and salt together in a bowl. Spread the mixture on the muffin halves. Arrange the halves on a broiler pan and broil 2 - 3 minutes, until the top is golden brown. Garnish with sliced hard boiled eggs, tomatoes or avocados, depending upon whether it is being served for brunch or lunch.
