2 cups chopped green bell peppers
1 cup chopped celery
2 cups chopped onions
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 cup chopped stuffed olives
1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms, with liquid
1 (10 1/2-ounce) can tomato soup
1 (8-ounce) can tomato-mushroom sauce
1 pound broad noodles
2 cups grated American cheese


In a large skillet, sauté green peppers, celery, onions, and meats in hot butter. Add salt, reduce heat, and cook about 5 minutes. Stir in olives, mushrooms, and liquid, soup, and sauces. Cook another 5 minutes. Cook noodles according to package directions, undercooking them slightly. Drain. Turn noodles into a greased 10x14-inch roasting pan. Add meat mixture. Stir gently until well mixed. Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake 35 minutes at 350°.
