Tomato Sauce with Onion and Butter


Serves: 5

Ingredients

2 pounds fresh, peeled, chopped tomatoes or 2 cups canned tomatoes
1/4 pound butter
1/2 of an onion
salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional)
freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:

In medium saucepan, add all ingredients together (except parmesan cheese) and simmer for about an hour. Mash or break apart any large chunks of tomato. Toss over cooked, drained pasta and season with Parmesan cheese.
