Conchiglie With Sausage And Seafood

Ingredients

1 pound small shell-shaped pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 mild sweet Italian sausage, about 3 ounces, cut into small slices
1/2 teaspoon chopped garlic, fresh or jarred organic
1 cup white wine
1 (15-ounce) can clam sauce
4 ounces cleaned shelled shrimp (small)
4 ounces chopped fresh clams
pinch crushed red pepper flake
salt and ground black pepper to taste

Directions:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta, stirring a few times to ensure that it does not stick to itself. Boil vigorously for the time recommended on the package or until tender. Drain.

Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large skillet. Sauté the sausage until it loses its raw look, add the garlic, and stir add the wine and boil for 2 minutes. Stir in the clam sauce, shrimp, clams, and red pepper flakes, and heat through. Drain the pasta, season with salt and pepper, and toss it with the sauce before serving.
