Apricot Chutney

Ingredients

2 (15-ounce) cans apricot halves
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups white vinegar
1 cup onion chopped
1 cup raisins golden
2 apples finely chopped
1/2 cup ginger diced crystallized
1 tablespoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cloves ground
1 teaspoon salt
1 clove garlic minced

Directions:

Drain and chop apricots reserve syrup. Heat apricot syrup and remaining ingredients, except apricots, in a large saucepan. Simmer, covered, for 45 minutes. Add apricots simmer, uncovered, an additional 45 minutes. Pour into sterilized jars seal with paraffin.
