French Toast

1 loaf White Sandwich Bread, sliced
3 eggs
1/4 to 1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)


Mix eggs, milk, oil, vanilla, and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.

Heat a griddle over medium-high heat. When the pan is warm, dip slices of bread into the egg mixture, turning once to coat both sides. Immediately place the slices on the warm griddle and cook until golden brown (2 to 3 minutes). Flip and cook other side.

Serve with powdered sugar, syrup, jam, or whipped cream.
