Garlic and Sage Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey
1 tablespoon finely minced fresh sage or 1/2 teaspoon dried
4 cups garlic pressed
1/2 teaspoon sea salt or to taste
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1-2 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
4 whole grain buns toasted
4 tomatoes slices
4 lettuce leaves

Directions:

1. Place the ground turkey, sage, garlic, salt, and white pepper in a large bowl and mix well. Shape into 4 patties. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to blend the flavors.

2. Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet and cook the patties for about 3–4 minutes, or until they are firm and dark brown on top. Flip and cook about 3–4 minutes more, or until cooked all the way through. Sprinkle with lemon juice and serve each burger on a toasted bun with a tomato slice and lettuce leaf.
