Orange French Toast

Serves: 6

2 eggs
1 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
12 slices French bread
6 tablespoons butter or margarine


Beat together eggs, orange juice, sugar, and salt. Dip bread slices into egg mixture, coating both sides. Place bread on baking sheets freeze just till firm. Wrap in foil or place in freezer bags, label, and return to freezer.

To serve, place bread slices in a shallow greased baking pan. Melt butter. Drizzle over bread. Bake at 500° F for 5 minutes. Turn and bake till golden, about 5 minutes more.
