Veggie & Cheese Muffuletta

Ingredients

1 round loaf Italian bread, sliced horizontally
1/2 cup red wine vinaigrette
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons capers
1 ripe avocado, peeled, pitted, sliced
3/4 cup green salad olives
1 (2 1/4-ounce) can sliced ripe black olives, drained
1/2 pound Jarlsberg cheese, thinly sliced, divided
12 fresh basil leaves
4 Roma tomatoes, sliced
4 thin slices sweet onion, separated

Directions:

Hollow out bottom half of bread to within 3/4 inch of crust. Process or blend red wine vinaigrette, mayonnaise, and capers well. Spread mixture evenly on inside of top and bottom of bread. Layer remaining ingredients in bottom half; cover with top and press halves firmly together. Wrap tightly in plastic for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Unwrap and slice into wedges.
