Cornbread Sage Dressing

Ingredients

1 9x13 pan corn bread, crumbled
9 slices day-old white bread, torn
5 cups chicken broth or milk
1 tablespoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon salt
Combine all ingredients in a very large bowl; toss together lightly. Spoon into a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low setting for about 3 hours.
Homemade Cornbread:
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup margarine, melted
1 cup milk
1/2 cup onion, chopped
3/4 cup celery, chopped
1 1/2 cups self-rising cornmeal

Directions:

Beat eggs and water; add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour batter into a greased 13"x9" baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes, until set and golden. Let cool.
