Two Step Pecan Pie

Ingredients

2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup pecans halves (reserve 6 to 8 halves for decoration)
1 frozen pie crust unbaked )your own or commercial)

Directions:

Heat oven to 425° F. Put eggs, sugar, salt, corn syrup, butter or margarine, and vanilla in blender or food processor and blend on high. Add pecans and blend just enough to chop nuts coarsely. Pour into pie shell and arrange reserved pecan halves on top. Bake for 15 minutes reduce heat to 350° F and bake an additional 30 minutes.
