Savory Bean Medley

3 slices bacon lean, cut in 1-inch pieces
1 cup onion coarsely chopped
1 to 2 cup ham diced cooked
1 (16-ounce) can pork and beans in tomato sauce
1 (16-ounce) can lima beans drained
1 (15-ounce) can kidney beans dark, drained
1 tablespoon molasses
2 teaspoons summer savory dried leaves
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt


Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a deep 1 1/2 -quart casserole.

In a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, fry bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside on paper towels. Add onion to skillet and sauté 5 minutes or until tender. Remove skillet from heat.

Stir in ham, pork and beans with sauce, lima and kidney beans, molasses, savory, dry mustard, and salt. Spoon into casserole.

Bake 30 minutes. Stir. Bake 15 minutes longer or untilvery bubbly and juices thicken.

Stir before serving. Sprinkle with bacon.
