Mulled New England Punch

2 cups water
3 sticks cinnamon (about 2 1/2 inches each) broken in half
1 teaspoon cloves whole
2 tea bags
1 (6-ounce) can apple juice (about 3/4 cup)
1/2 cup cranberry juice
2 tablespoons honey
3 apples thinly sliced rings (optional)


In a medium saucepan, place water, cinnamon sticks and cloves. Bring to a boil over high heat reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Add teabags. Remove from heat, cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Remove spices and tea bags and discard.

Stir in apple juice, cranberry juice cocktail and honey. Heat through over medium heat.

Pour into cups and garnish with apple rings if desired.
