Ingredients

1 onion large cut in half lengthwise and thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper medium cut in half lengthwise and thinly sliced
1 pound hot dog plump (8 per lb.)
8 hot dog buns
1/4 cup creamy Italian dressing
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Preheat oven to 400°.

Place water, onion and green pepper in a 10-inch non-stick skillet. Cover and cook over high heat for 7 minutes. Add frankfurters. Cover and cook for 3 minutes or until vegetables are limp, adding additional water as needed to prevent burning.

Place each frankfurter in a bun. Top with about 1/2 tablespoon salad dressing. Sprinkle vegetables with salt and pepper spoon over dressing. Wrap each bun separately in foil.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until heated through.

Serve with potato chips, tomato soup and sherbet.
