2 (21-ounce) cans cherry pie filling
1 (18 1/4-ounce) box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup flour (High altitude adjustment: added to cake mix)


Pour cherry pie filling into oven. Top with cake mix. Drizzle with melted butter. Sprinkle with coconut and nuts. Bake at 350°F for 60 minutes, or until golden brown. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.

Paul’s note: for this recipe, line your Dutch oven with tin foil before adding ingredients. This will save lots of cleaning time, and the sugar won’t ruin the season in your oven
