Pasta Godjabuda (Sicilian Pasta with Onions and Olive Oil)

Ingredients

2 medium onions, cut in half vertically and then cut each half into 1/2-inch slivers
1/3 cup olive oil
2 cloves garlic, sliced fine
1 tablespoon oregano
sprinkle of thyme
1 teaspoon basil
2 shakes of cayenne pepper
2 shakes of crushed red pepper
salt to taste
Parmesan cheese
1 pound linquini noodle, cooked

Directions:

While the water is boiling for the pasta, sauté the onions in olive oil over medium heat until transparent. Add the garlic and sauté. Add spices; cover and simmer while pasta is cooking. When pasta is ready, strain pasta, but leave some water. Mix 1/3 of onions and garlic with pasta. Put pasta in bowls and add onion mixture to top. Season with Parmesan cheese.
