Brown and Wild Rice with Mushrooms

1 cup dry organic mixed brown rice and wild rice blend
1 cup chopped mushrooms
2 cups fat free chicken broth or 2 cups water with 1 teaspoon dissolved fat free chicken soup base


1. Place the ingredients in the rice-cooking compartment of a steamer.
2. Cover and steam for 45 to 55 minutes or until all liquid has been absorbed and rice is tender.
3. Alternative: Place ingredients in a pressure cooker and process for 22 to 25 minutes at 8 psi. Use the natural release method.
