Garlic Parmesan Orzo

Orzo pasta combines with butter, garlic and Parmesan cheese in this quick and easy side dish the whole family will love.

1 cup uncooked orzo pasta
1/4 cup butter
2 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
salt and pepper, to taste


Cook orzo according to package directions until just tender, about 10 minutes; drain.

Meanwhile, melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, 3-5 minutes. Stir cooked orzo into butter.

Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese. Gradually add milk, if needed, to reach desired consistency. Stir in parsley and salt and pepper, to taste. Serve immediately.
