Apple-Cheese Melts

Ingredients

2 slices French or Italian breads, each 1-inch thick
2 tablespoons applesauce
1 medium apple, cored and cut into rings
2 ounces Cheddar cheese, sliced
2 ounces gorgonzola cheese, crumbled

Directions:

1. Set oven control to broil. Place bread on ungreased cookie sheet. Broil with tops about 4 inches from heat until golden brown turn.
2. Spread applesauce on bread slices. Place half of apple rings on each bread slice. Top with cheeses. Broil just until cheese begins to melt.
