Chicken A La King

Ingredients

8 chicken pieces
2 tablespoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 large onion, chopped
1 large carrot, chopped
2 tablespoons green peppers, chopped
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups chicken broth
1 egg yolk
pimiento
hot noodles, rice or toast

Directions:

Cook chicken, salt, pepper, onion, and carrot together until chicken is tender. Remove chicken cut meat from bones reserve broth. Sauté green pepper with butter in skillet. Stir in flour and salt. Gradually add reserved chicken broth and stir until thickened. Beat egg add small amount of hot mixture then add to skillet. Add pimientos. Serve over hot noodles, rice or toast.
