Red Inn Apple Pie

Ingredients

7 Granny Smith apples, pared and thinly sliced
pinch of cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg

Custard:
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Original Bisquick®
3/4 cup milk

Crumble:
1 cup Original Bisquick®
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup walnuts
3 tablespoons butter (hard)
heavy cream

Directions:

Butter a 10-inch pie plate. Sprinkle the sliced apples with cinnamon and nutmeg and mix together. Place the apples in the pie plate.

Beat together the ingredients for the custard and pour it over the apples. Mix together the ingredients for the crumble and cut in the butter. Sprinkle this over the apples and press down lightly. Bake in a preheated oven at 325° for 1 hour. Serve with whipped cream.
