Italian Sausage Bread

Ingredients

1 loaf French bread dough, thawed
1 pound ground Italian sausage, browned and drained
Optional: 1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
Optional: 12 slices pepperoni
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Roll dough out on a greased baking sheet; sprinkle with sausage, mushrooms and pepperoni, if using, and cheese. Roll up; pinch seams together. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden; cool for at least 15 minutes.

Tip: A 250-degree oven keeps hot appetizers toasty.
