Beef Stew

Serves 6


2 pounds beef stew meat
5 potatoes, chopped
1 (14 1/2-ounce) can diced tomato, undrained
1 (7 3/4-ounce) can pearl onion, drained
4 carrots, chopped
3 tablespoons instant tapioca pudding mix
3 teaspoons sugar
1 cup water
3/4 tablespoon salt
pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in a 6-quart slow cooker. Let simmer on high 4 to 5 hours.
