Ingredients

3 cups 1/2 inch bread cubes, from French bread or Italian bread
2 cups whole milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
3/4 cup sugar
6 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

1. Cut the bread into 1/2 inch cubes and place in a greased and floured 9-inch square baking pan or 2 quart casserole dish.
2. Place the whole milk, condensed milk, sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a blender. Puree for 2 minutes to form a smooth batter.
3. Pour the batter over the bread cubes. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
4. Spoon the pudding into individual serving dishes. Enjoy warm or cold.

Important tip
If you want the top of this pudding to come out crunchy, let the bread cubes dry out for a day. Like French toast, stale bread is preferable in this recipe.
