Basic Saucepan Stuffing

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 1/3 cups broth, fruit juice, or water
3 cups cornbread or seasoned stuffing mix

Directions:

1. Place the butter or margarine in a large saucepan, and melt over medium heat. Add the celery and onion, and sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the onion is soft.

2. Add the broth, fruit juice, or water to the saucepan, and bring to a boil over high heat. Cover the saucepan, reduce the heat, and simmer for 3 minutes.

3. Remove the saucepan from the heat, and stir in the stuffing mix. Cover and let stand for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the liquid has been absorbed. Fluff with a fork before serving.
