Pizza Fruit Platter

Ingredients

Crust:
1 package (1 layer) yellow cake mix
2 tablespoons water
1 egg
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Sauce:
12 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
------------------------------
Toppings:
1 pint fresh strawberries, cut in half
1 (20-ounce) can pineapple tidbit, drained
medium bunch of green seedless grape halves
2 bananas, sliced
1/2 cup apricot preserves
2 tablespoons water

Directions:

Crust:
Combine the cake mix, water, egg, butter, and brown sugar. Fold in the nuts and pour batter on heavily greased and floured 12-inch pizza pan. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes and let cool.

Sauce:
Mix the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla together. Spread over Crust.

Topping:
Arrange fruit in circular pattern over cheese mixture. Heat apricot preserves with 2 tablespoons water until the preserves melt. Remove from heat and let cool. Brush apricot glaze on fruit. Cut into wedges and refrigerate until ready to serve. Use whatever fresh fruit is in season. Kiwi is especially attractive and tasty.
