Saki Sesame Broccoli

Ingredients

2 cups water
1 large bunch broccoli (stems cut away)
1/2 teaspoon garlic granules
1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
3 tablespoons saki
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar (preferably apple cider)
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds

Directions:

In large saucepan, boil water. Discard stem shoots from broccoli, leaving a small spear. Place speared flowerets in boiling water for 2–3 minutes. Sprinkle garlic granules and salt and pepper over cooking broccoli. Remove broccoli from saucepan with slotted spoon to medium-size bowl, and set aside.

In a small pan, combine saki, soy sauce, vinegar, olive oil, sugar, and sesame seeds. Heat over medium to low heat while blending all ingredients. Stir constantly about 5–10 minutes until liquids are clear and glazed. Pour over broccoli and serve.
