Macaroni & Cheese

8 ounces large elbow macaroni (uncooked)
1 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese (shredded)
2 cups white sauce
White Sauce:
2 cups milk
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons Wondra flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper


Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

In large saucepan melt butter over low heat; slowly blend in flour, salt and white pepper stirring constantly. Cook over low heat until smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat and slowly stir in milk. Return to heat and bring to boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Remove pan from heat.

Add 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese; stir until cheese is melted. Add cooked macaroni and mix well.

Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan, spoon macaroni and white sauce mixture in pan. Spread remaining 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve hot.
