In a food processor, combine the chick peas, lemon juice, cloves, tahini paste and olive oil into a creamy paste. Blend in the salt. If the paste is too thick, slowly add some of the reserved chick pea liquid until the paste is the consistency of mayonnaise. Chill and garnish with paprika and parsley before serving with wedges of pita bread.
