Grandma Ginny’s Hot Dog Sauce

Ingredients

2-1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cups water
1 (24-ounce) bottle ketchup
2-1/2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin

Directions:

Combine ground beef, onion and water in a large saucepan. Bring hamburger to a boil over medium heat and stir to crumble meat. When meat is browned, add remaining ingredients; stir together. Simmer on low heat for 2-1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
