Wilted Lettuce and Onion Salad

Serves: 5

8 slices bacon
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons sugar
2 quarts tom leaf lettuce


Fry, cool, and crumble bacon in to pieces. In skillet with bacon drippings, add vinegar, water and sugar. Bring to a boil. In large salad bowl mix lettuce and onions; pour hot liquid over and toss. Top with crumbled bacon bits. Serve immediately.
