The celery in this recipe adds a dimension which is very tasty. I usually puree the onions, green peppers and celery. After browning the hamburger I like to place the meat in my food processor to make the pieces of meat uniform. As a side dish I have made a 3 bean salad with 1/2 of the beans from the minestrone soup. Another side dish shown is a cucumber tomato salad. This salad does not keep well for best flavor it should be eaten within 12 hours of preparation or the cucumbers loose some of their crispness.
I hope you have checked this menu for the water mellon preparation. Simply cut your watermelon in half. Cut the bottom off and turn the large piece down. Slice off the rind from the mellon and turn the mellon over so that you can see the seeds. A close inspection will reveal that the seeds grow in a "C" shape around the outside edge. Now comes the fun part. Slice off one of the "c's" Hold the piece in one hand and use the edge of a knife do flick the seeds out. Then cut into what ever sized pieces you prefer. Place in an airtight container and chill in the refrigerator. Enjoy water mellon without having do deal with the rinds, seeds and juice. The mellon does stay fresh for 5 do 6 days. If it lasts that long.
