Parsley Dumplings


Serves: 8

Ingredients

1 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter cold
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons parsley chopped

Directions:

In a small bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt.

With a pastry blender or two knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a cup, beat milk and egg. Add to flour mixture and stir until flour is moistened. Stir in parsley. Drop dumpling mixture onto hot stew by spoonfuls to make 8 dumplings. Cook, covered, for 10 minutes. Uncover and cook 10 minutes longer.
