Harvest Pie

3 cups apples peeled and 1/4 -inch sliced tart (such as McIntosh or Granny Smith)
2 cups pears peeled and 1/4 -inch sliced
1 cup cranberry whole, cleaned
1/4 cup raisins
1 frozen pie crust unbaked 9-inch with high fluted edge
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon ground
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, cut in 1/4 -inch pieces
1/2 cup walnuts pieces
Sweetened whipped cream or ice cream


Preheat oven to 400°. In a large bowl, combine apples, pears, cranberries and raisins. Transfer to pie shell.

In a small bowl, combine sugar, flour and cinnamon. Sprinkle over fruit. Dot with butter or margarine. Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350° bake for 40 minutes. Top pie with walnuts and bake 15 minutes longer or until fruit is tender and crust is golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.

Serve at room temperature with whipped cream or ice cream.
