Preheat oven to 350°. Cream margarine, brown sugar, and peanut butter. Stir together flour, oats, baking soda, and salt, then add to creamed mixture. (Mixture will be crumbly.) Spread in greased 13" x 9" x 2" baking pan, patting down firmly. Bake 20 minutes or until lightly browned and edges pull away slightly from pan. Cool before frosting. Chill 30 minutes before cutting. Makes 24.
