Deli Skillet Sandwiches

Ingredients

8 slices rye bread firm or sandwich bread
4 ounces pastrami thinly sliced cooked or ham
4 ounces provolone cheese thinly sliced
4 ounces turkeys thinly sliced cooked
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400°.

On each of four slices of bread, layer pastrami or ham, cheese and turkey. Top with remaining bread and press lightly to make four sandwiches. Cut each in half diagonally set aside.

In a 9-inch pie plate, beat together milk and eggs until well blended. Dip each sandwich into egg mixture to coat both sides.

Cook in a preheated greased skillet over medium heat until browned, turning once. Transfer to a baking sheet.

Bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese melts and sandwich is heated through.

"Serve with chips and pickles."
