Chili Spice Mix

Ingredients

3 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons yellow cornmeal
4 teaspoons cumin ground
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon red bell pepper ground

Directions:

In a small bowl, mix chili powder, paprika, cornmeal, cumin, salt, sugar, garlic powder and red pepper. Store in a tightly covered jar in a cool, dry place.

To use, add 1 1/2 teaspoons of the chili spice and 1/4 cup water to 1 pound of cooked, drained lean ground beef for taco filling, or use to season scrambled eggs, baked potatoes, stuffed peppers or dips.
