Cheesy Crescents

Ingredients

2 (8-ounce) cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
8 ounces Cheddar cheese mild, shredded (about 2 cups)
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
Sesame or poppy seeds (optional)

Directions:

At least 30 minutes or up to 1 1/2 hours before serving: Separate dough into sixteen triangles. Sprinkle each with about 2 tablespoons of the cheese. Roll up tightly, starting at shortest side of triangle. Place pointed-end under on ungreased baking sheet curve slightly to form a crescent. If making ahead, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate up to 1 hour before baking.

About 25 minutes before serving: Preheat oven to 375° or according to package directions.

In a small bowl, beat egg and water. Brush over top of crescents. Sprinkle with seeds if desired.

Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Serve warm.
