Banana Coffee Cake

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
3 bananas medium, very ripe, mashed
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon lemon juice fresh
1/2 cup nuts chopped
* Part two.
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg ground
1/4 cup butter or margarine

Directions:

Heat oven to 350° F. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and beat at medium speed until thoroughly mixed. Spread in a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Prepare topping below.

Topping:
*Combine all ingredients and cut with pastry blender until all particles are fine. Sprinkle topping on coffee cake. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until coffee cake tests done. Serve warm.

Note: This coffee cake freezes well.
