Spooky Skull Cupcakes

Yield: 2 dozen

Ingredients

1 (18 1/2-ounce) package white cake mix
12 marshmallows
1 (16-ounce) can vanilla frosting
Garnish: mini chocolate-covered mints, chocolate chips, slivered almonds

Directions:

Prepare cake mix as package directs; bake in 24 paper-lined muffin cups. Cool. Cut each marshmallow in half from top to bottom. Carefully pull each paper liner partially away from cupcake; tuck a marshmallow half between liner and cupcake to create jaw of skull. Spread frosting over cupcake and marshmallow. Add mints dotted with white frosting for eyes, a chocolate chip for a nose and slivered almonds for teeth.
