Whatever and Dumplings

1 1/2 pounds beef or any meat, cooked
2 quarts water
3 tablespoons beef bouillon or flavored to match the meat used
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon rosemary
1 teaspoon thyme
2 medium potatoes, washed and diced with peels on
1 medium onion, diced
2 stalks celery, sliced
1 carrot, washed and thinly sliced
2 cups Original Bisquick®
1/2 cup milk or water


In a 12”, deep, Dutch oven, combine all ingredients but the Bisquick and water or milk. Cover and simmer for 1 to 1 ½ hours.

In a medium bowl, mix Bisquick and milk or water until just combined. Remove lid from Dutch oven and spoon the Bisquick dough onto the soup and simmer 15 to 20 minutes more. Serve.
