Preheat a well oiled, 12” Dutch oven. Pour enough into the oven to measure 1” deep. Arrange squash in oven with cut sides up. Bake covered 45 minutes or until flesh is tender when pierced with a fork. While squash is baking, prepare the stuffing according to the directions on the box. Add the chopped up apple and gently fluff the dressing with the apple. Fill each squash cavity with about ½ c. prepared stuffing. Bake 15 minutes longer, add water if necessary.
